Understanding your diagnosis and treatment options makes you more comfortable with your care. I find that well informed patients are also much easier to talk to in the office. I have heard so many doctors criticize patients for going to the internet, yet all of them will do exactly the same if they fall ill. I would encourage you to search the internet far and wide to find out all your options, but then check them out in person. Just remember, it is your body and you are in charge! To make good decisions, you need to be informed.
